Amphoe Phachi ( Thai : อำเภอ ภาชี , pronunciation: ʔāmpʰɤ̄ː pʰāː tɕʰīː ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) in the eastern part of Ayutthaya Province . Ayutthaya Province is located in the central region of Thailand .

etymology

Phachi in Thai is someone who shares or shares something with others. It refers to the branch of the Thai State Railway in the county. Here the route from Bangkok divides into the north line and the north-east line.

geography

Neighboring districts are (from north clockwise): Amphoe Tha Ruea Ayutthaya province, the Amphoe Nong Saeng and Nong Khae of Saraburi province and Uthai and Nakhon Luang turn in Ayutthaya.

history

The district was established in 1953 when it was separated from the Amphoe Uthai.

At the Ban Phachi Junction station, the north and north-east routes of the Thai railway branch off ( Bangkok – Chiang Mai and Bangkok – Nakhon Ratchasima ).

  • Khok Muang (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล โคก ม่วง ) consisting of the complete tambon Khok Muang.
  • Rasom (Thai: องค์การ บริหารส่วน ตำบล ระ โสม ) consisting of the complete Tambon Rasom.
  • Nong Nam Sai (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล หนอง น้ำ ใส ) consisting of the complete tambon Nong Nam Sai.
  • Don Ya Nang (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ดอน หญ้า นาง ) consisting of the complete tambon Don Ya Nang.
  • Phai Lom (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ไผ่ ล้อม ) consisting of the complete tambon Phai Lom.
  • Krachio (Thai: องค์การ บริหารส่วน ตำบล กระ จิ ว ) consisting of the complete Tambon Krachio.

Phachi has a station of the Thai state railway on the north runway , the Bangkok with Chiang Mai connects.
