Amphoe Bang Ban ( Thai : อำเภอ บางบาล , pronunciation: ʔāmpʰɤ̄ː bāːŋ bāːn ) is a district ( amphoe - administrative district) of Ayutthaya Province . Ayutthaya Province is located in the central region of Thailand .

Neighboring counties (clockwise from the north): Amphoe Pa Mok of the Ang Thong province and the Amphoe Bang Pahan , Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya , Bang Sai , Sena and Phak Hai of the Ayutthaya province.

history

Bang Ban County was first established as Sena Nai District in 1894. When in 1917 Mr. Khiaw Bangban donated a piece of land on which the administration building could be built, the government agreed to name the county after the donor's family name, Bang Ban.

There are two municipalities with "small town" status ( Thesaban Tambon ) in the district:

Bang Ban (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล บางบาล ) consisting of the complete Tambon Bang Ban, Sai Noi, Bang Luang Dot, Bang Hak, Bang Chani, Ban Kum.
Maha Phram (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล มหา พราหมณ์ ) consisting of the complete Tambon Wat Yom, Saphan Thai, Maha Phram.

There are also four " tambon administration organizations " ( องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - Tambon Administrative Organizations, TAO)

Kop Chao (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล กบ เจา ) consisting of the complete Tambon Kop Chao.
Ban Khlang (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล บ้าน คลัง ) consisting of the complete tambon Ban Khlang.
Phra Khao (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล พระ ขาว ) consisting of the complete Tambon Phra Khao.
Nam Tao (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล น้ำเต้า ) consisting of the complete tambon Nam Tao, Thang Chang, Wat Taku, Bang Luang.
