Amphoe Maha Rat ( Thai : อำเภอ มหาราช , pronunciation: ʔāmpʰɤ̄ː māhǎː râːt ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) in the northern part of Ayutthaya Province ("Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province"). Ayutthaya Province is located in the central region of Thailand .

Neighboring districts are (from north clockwise): Amphoe Ban Phraek Ayutthaya Province, Amphoe Don Phut of Saraburi province , Amphoe Bang Pahan Ayutthaya province and Amphoe Pa Mok , Mueang Ang Thong and Chaiyo of Ang Thong province .

history

The area of ​​today's county used to be Khwaeng Nakhon Yai. When it was converted into an amphoe, it was given its current name Maha Rat.

  • Maha Rat (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล มหาราช ) consisting of the complete Tambon Hua Phai, Maha Rat.
  • Rong Chang (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล โรง ช้าง ) consisting of the complete Tambon Nam Tao, Rong Chang, Chao Pluk, Phit Phian.
