Amphoe Sena ( Thai : อำเภอ เสนา , pronunciation: ʔāmpʰɤ̄ː sěːnāː ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) in the province of Ayutthaya ("Province of Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya"). Ayutthaya Province is located in the central region of Thailand .

geography

The neighboring Amphoe are clockwise from the north: Phak Hai , Bang Ban , Bang Sai ( บางไทร ) , Lat Bua Luang and Bang Sai ( บางซ้าย ) .

In the center of the main town Sena is a clock tower that shows the time on all four sides.

  • Sena (Thai: เทศบาล เมือง เสนา ) consisting of the complete Tambon Sena.

There are four municipalities with "small town" status ( Thesaban Tambon ) in the district:

  • Chao Chet (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล เจ้า เจ็ด ) consisting of the complete Tambon Chao Sadet and the parts of the Tambon Chao Chet, Ban Thaeo.
  • Hua Wiang (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล หัว เวียง ) consisting of the complete Tambon Hua Wiang, Ban Krathum.
  • Bang Nom Kho (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล บาง นม โค ) consisting of the complete tambon Bang Nom Kho.
  • Sam Ko (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล สาม กอ ) consisting of the complete Tambon Sam Ko.

In addition, there are nine " tambon administration organizations " ( องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - Tambon Administrative Organizations, TAO)

Students of the Senaprasit School

Wat Bang Nom Kho (Thai: วัด บาง นม โค ) is a Buddhist temple ( Wat ) in the district. A temple market takes place here every Tuesday evening, where countless vendors offer a wide variety of goods.

The secondary Senaprasit leads between Christmas and New Year through regular sports days. On this occasion, the students dress in various traditional Thai robes and march across the schoolyard. Finally, there is a procession from the city center to the school. For three days, the students compete against each other in a wide variety of sports.
