Amphoe Ban Phraek ( Thai : อำเภอ บ้านแพรก , pronunciation: ʔāmpʰɤ̄ː bâːn pʰrɛ̂ːk ) is the northernmost district ( Amphoe - administrative district) of Ayutthaya Province ("Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province"). Ayutthaya Province is located in the central region of Thailand .

Neighboring districts are (from north clockwise) Mueang Lop Buri the province of Lop Buri , Don Phut District of Saraburi province , Maha Rat District Ayutthaya province and chaiyo district of Ang Thong province .
history
Ban Phraek was initially set up as a “branch circle” ( King Amphoe ) in 1937 , when Tambon Phraek was separated from the Amphoe Maha Council . On December 10, 1959, he got full amphoe status.

There is one municipality with "small town" status ( Thesaban Tambon ) in the district:
- Ban Phraek (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล บ้านแพรก ) consisting of the parts of the tambon Ban Phraek, Sam Phaniang.
There are also two " tambon administration organizations " ( องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - Tambon Administrative Organizations, TAO)
- Sam Phaniang (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล สำ พะเนียง ) consisting of the complete Tambon Ban Mai and parts of the Tambon Ban Phraek, Sam Phaniang.
- Khlong Noi (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล คลอง น้อย ) consisting of the complete tambon Khlong Noi, Song Hong.
