Amphoe Mueang Lop Buri ( Thai อำเภอ เมือง ลพบุรี ) is a district ( Amphoe - Administrative District) in the southwest of the Lop Buri Province . Lop Buri Province is located in the central region of Thailand .

Neighboring districts (clockwise from west): the Amphoe Tha Wung , Ban Mi , Khok Samrong and Phatthana Nikhom of the Province of Lop Buri, the Amphoe Phra Phutthabat , Nong Don and Don Phut of the Province of Saraburi , the Amphoe Ban Phraek of the Province of Ayutthaya and the Amphoe Chaiyo the Ang Thong province .

The distance to the capital Bangkok is about 150 kilometers.
