Amphoe Khok Charoen ( Thai : อำเภอ โคก เจริญ ) is a district ( amphoe - administrative district) in the province of Lop Buri . Lop Buri Province is located in the central region of Thailand .

Neighboring Amphoe are seen from the north: Amphoe Phaisali of Nakhon Sawan Province , Amphoe Wichian Buri and Si Thep of Phetchabun Province and Amphoe Chai Badan , Amphoe Sa Bot and Amphoe Nong Muang of Lop Buri Province.

The most important body of water is the Maenam Pa Sak (Pa-Sak River) , in the valley of which the archaeological site of Khok Charoen was discovered, which indicates a settlement since around 1400 BC. Can close.

history

Amphoe Khok Charoen was initially set up on March 8, 1987 as a “branch circle” ( King Amphoe ) by separating four tambon from Amphoe Khok Samrong . On November 4, 1993, Khok Charoen received full amphoe status.
