Amphoe Tha Wung ( Thai : อำเภอ ท่าวุ้ง ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) in the west of Lop Buri Province . Lop Buri Province is located in the central region of Thailand .

geography

The main water resource of Tha Wung is Maenam Lop Buri (Lop Buri River) and Maenam Bang Kham (Bang Kham River).

Neighboring Amphoe are seen from the north: Amphoe Ban Mi and Mueang Lopburi of Lopburi Province, Amphoe Chaiyo of Ang Thong Province and Amphoe Phrom Buri and Mueang Sing Buri of Sing Buri Province .

Amphoe Tha Wung was established in 1912, then under the name Amphoe Pho Wi.
