Amphoe Yang Sisurat ( Thai อำเภอ ยาง สี สุ ราช ) is a district ( Amphoe - Administrative District) in the south of the Maha Sarakham Province . The province of Maha Sarakham is located in the center of the northeast region of Thailand , the so-called Isan .

Yang Sisurat District borders the following districts (from north clockwise) to the Amphoe Na Chueak , Na Dun and Phayakkhaphum Phisai in the province of Maha Sarakham and to the Amphoe Phutthaisong and Na Pho the province of Buriram .

history

Yang Sisurat was first established on April 1, 1989 as a “branch circle” ( King Amphoe ) by separating six tambon from the Phayakkhaphum Phisai district. On September 8, 1995, the district was promoted to Amphoe.
