In the Neustadt-Glewe office , two municipalities and the city of Neustadt-Glewe (official seat) were merged to handle their administrative business. The office was founded on January 15, 1992. The office is located in the center of the Ludwigslust-Parchim district in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (Germany).

Coat of arms, flag, official seal
The office does not have an officially approved national emblem, neither a coat of arms nor a flag. The official seal is the small state seal with the coat of arms of the state of Mecklenburg. It shows a looking bull's head with torn off neck fur and crown and the inscription “AMT NEUSTADT-GLEWE • LANDKREIS LUDWIGSLUST-PARCHIM”.
