The Goldberg-Mildenitz office is located in the northeast of the Ludwigslust-Parchim district in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (Germany). Six municipalities have joined forces in this office to carry out their administrative business. The administrative headquarters are in Goldberg .

On January 1, 2005, the Goldberg-Mildenitz office was formed from the seven municipalities of the dissolved Mildenitz office and the formerly free city of Goldberg. On June 7th, 2009 the community Langenhagen was incorporated into Techentin, on January 1st, 2012 Diestelow and Wendisch goods were incorporated into Goldberg.

The official area is located in a hilly terminal moraine north of Parchim on the eastern edge of the Nossentiner / Schwinzer Heide nature park . The Mildenitz flows through it. In the south, the administrative area borders on the Eldenburg Lübz office , and in the north on the Sternberger Seenlandschaft office . The Goldberger See , the Damerower See and the Dobbertiner See of the Sternberger Seenlandschaft are the largest of the numerous lakes in the office, a hill near Neu Poserin is 92  m above sea level. HN the highest elevation.

In addition to agriculture and the increasingly dominant use of wind energy , tourism in particular is playing an increasing role on the various lakes.
