The district of Birkfeld was an administrative unit in the Grazer Kreis in Styria between 1853 and 1867 .
The district was subordinate to the district authority in Graz and took care of their official business on site. In addition to Birkfeld, jurisdiction extended to the communities of Amaßegg , Anger , Aschau , Baierdorf , Fischbach , Gaisen , Gschaid , Haslau , Naintsch , Ober-Feistritz , Piregg , Sonnleitberg , Strallegg , Viertl-Feistritz , Weiglhof and Waisenegg .
