The district court of Breisach am Rhein is a court of ordinary jurisdiction and one of ten district courts (AG) in the district of the regional court of Freiburg .

Seat and District of the Court

The seat of the court is Breisach am Rhein . The judicial district includes the cities of Breisach am Rhein and Vogtsburg as well as the communities Ihringen and Merdingen . This means that around 30,300 people live in the judicial district (as of December 31, 2018).

Jurisdiction

Since the Breisach District Court is only a very small court, it is only responsible for general civil and criminal justice matters. It also keeps the register of associations and property law .

The district court of Freiburg im Breisgau is responsible for family matters , agricultural matters , foreclosures , bankruptcy matters and jury matters in the district of AG Breisach .

For Mahnsachen is Amtsgericht Stuttgart as central dunning court jurisdiction.

Superior courts

The Freiburg Regional Court is directly superordinate to the AG Breisach. The competent higher regional court is the higher regional court in Karlsruhe and in civil matters its external senate in Freiburg.
