Anže Povirk (born January 25, 1991 ) is a Slovenian biathlete .

Anže Povirk has been taking part in international biathlon competitions since 2007, and in the IBU Cup for men since the beginning of the 2008/09 season . In his first sprint in Idre he finished 105th. The best result in the racing series so far is a 43rd place in a sprint race in Pokljuka in 2010 . The first major event was the 2010 Biathlon Junior World Championships in Torsby , where the Slovenian finished 42nd in the individual, 46th in the sprint, 47th in the pursuit and 17th in the relay. At the junior races of the Summer Biathlon World Championships 2010 in Duszniki-Zdrój , Povirk was 29th in the sprint and 31st in the pursuit. In 2011 he started again at the Junior World Championships in Nové Město na Moravě , where he finished 52nd in the individual, 51st in the sprint and 47th in the pursuit. The 2011 European Biathlon Championships followed in Ridnaun . Povirk first took part in the junior races, where he was 29th in individual and sprint and 21st in the pursuit. For the relay race he was appointed to the men and came on the side of Peter Dokl , Simon Kočevar and Vid Vončina as the final runner in ninth place. In the further course of the year he also took part in the junior races of the Summer Biathlon World Championships 2011 in Nové Město, where he was lapped 29th in the sprint and in the pursuit, and won the silver medal with Eva Urevec, Lili Drčar and Kočevar behind the Russian relay.
