action
Southern France in the late 1950s. The gangster Frank Morgan opened a “surefire”, meticulously elaborated plan to the criminals Bleck, Gypo and Kitson in the “Café Bleu”: the attack on an armored vehicle, the week after week dollar bills worth around one million as pay for the American soldiers transported to the Lieux military base. After initial hesitation, the three are enthusiastic about the project. Morgan's friend Ginny is also part of the party.
In the following days, every minute detail of the plan is carefully practiced until everyone has mastered their intended role in their sleep.
The day of the raid is drawing near. On a Friday at eleven thirty, the gangster quintet awaits the money transporter. The first task falls to Ginny. Disguised with a blonde wig, she quickly overtooks the armored vehicle with her car, only to simulate a serious accident with the help of the men. Ginny herself plays the road victim next to the car on fire. When the money transporter arrives, the passenger, as expected, gets out to help the "injured" person. This is what the male crook quartet was just waiting for. There is a shootout that ends with the death of the driver and front passenger. The armored vehicle is quickly maneuvered into a prepared caravan. Ginny and the young Kitson play lovers and in this way they can outsmart any police control. At the next stop, Gypo manages to open a door of the stolen car. Suddenly two shots are fired and Kitson is fatal. The driver of the money transporter, who is seriously injured, was able to fire the shots. But now he is being shot by Frank Morgan.
The gang of criminals is resting on a campsite. The bright boy Gino looks suspiciously at the doings of the four and concludes that they must be the wanted perpetrators. After this rumor spreads, the gangsters run away and drive up into the mountains. Gypo wants to get out and secretly get away. Bleck has noticed this and is following him. His shot fatally wounded the fugitive.
Gino puts the police on the right track. The law enforcement officers manage to encircle the last three survivors - Morgan, Bleck and Ginny. Bleck loses his footing through a misstep and falls into the depths. Frank Morgan and his girlfriend recognize their hopeless situation and commit suicide.

criticism
"Conventionally invented and made as exciting as possible using conventional film means."
“A routine detective film based on the novel“ On Friday at Eleven ”by James Hadley Chase. What is remarkable about this entertaining dozen items is the top-class international cast (...). The outdoor shots in the south of France are also delightful, and the cameraman Václav Vich is responsible for them. "
"Well-made, but overly clichéd crime film in the script, which is also burdened by the joy of cruelty and the refinement of the criminals."
