At every kilometer (original title Bulgarian На всеки километър / Na wseki kilometar ) is a Bulgarian television series from 1969, which was dubbed in German by DEFA and broadcast by German television station DFF from October 1970 .

Technical specifications

Pawel Weschinow , Swoboda Batschwarowa, Kostadin Kjuljomow, Evgeni Konstantinow and Georgi Markow were responsible for the scripts . Directed by Nedeltscho Tschernew and Lyubomir Scharlandshiew. 26 episodes were shot in black and white with 16mm film . The German editing of 18 episodes took place at DEFA-Synchron, here Irene Mahlich, Inge Lindner and Hilde Gruner directed the dubbing. The first season of nine episodes was repeated from October to December 1977.

Production background

As far as is known, the series was commissioned by the Communist Party of Bulgaria on the 25th anniversary of the communist seizure of power in Bulgaria on September 9, 1944 ( national holiday ).

action

The series is set in Bulgaria from 1923 to the late 1940s in the milieu of the Communist Party of Bulgaria. The first season deals with the communist September Uprising of 1923, the Spanish Civil War 1936–1939, the activities of communist partisans in World War II in Bulgaria and ends with the coup of the communist-controlled Patriotic Front on September 9, 1944. The second season takes place in the period after Putsch when the Communist Party established a dictatorship based on the Soviet model.

The protagonists are the communist Dejanow and his opponent, the police chief and later secret service employee Welinski. Danilow's sidekick is his old childhood friend Mitko Bombata. After the communist seizure of power, both became members of the Bulgarian military secret service , while Velinsky became an agent of a US secret service.
