Anamarija Lampič (born June 17, 1995 in Ljubljana ) is a Slovenian cross-country skier .

Career

Lampič, who competes for TSK Triglav Kranj, mainly took part in junior races at the Alpine Cup from 2010 to 2015, in which she finished third in the 2013/14 season and first place in the U20 overall ranking in 2014/15 . At the U18 European cross-country skiing championships in 2012 in Ortisei , she took silver over 10 km classic and gold in the sprint. In January 2012 she reached fourth place in the sprint at the 2012 Winter Youth Olympic Games in Seefeld in Tyrol . Over 5 km classic she won silver. A month later she won bronze with the relay at the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in Erzurum . At the European Youth Olympic Winter Festival 2013 in Brașov , she won bronze in the sprint and over 7.5 km freestyle. She ran her first World Cup race in December 2013 in Asiago , which she finished in 51st place in the sprint. In January 2015 she reached her first World Cup points with eleventh place in Otepää . At the 2015 Nordic World Ski Championships in Falun , she finished 45th in the skiathlon, 36th in the sprint and tenth in the relay. In the 2015/16 season she made it into the points seven times and achieved her first top ten placement in the individual with seventh place in the sprint in Drammen . At the U23 World Championships in 2016 in Râşnov , she finished tenth in the sprint and fourth place over 10 km classic. After finishing 61st in the World Cup Mini Tour in Lillehammer at the beginning of the 2016/17 season, she won her first World Cup victory in the sprint in Pyeongchang in February 2017 . Her best placings at the Nordic World Ski Championships 2017 in Lahti were 20th place in the sprint, 13th place with the relay and eighth place together with Katja Višnar in the team sprint. At the end of the season she came 44th in the overall ranking at the World Cup finals in Québec and reached 31st place in the overall World Cup and ninth place in the Sprint World Cup. She also won the U23 World Cup. In the 2017/18 season she took 48th place in the Ruka Triple and 26th place in the World Cup final in Falun. In addition, she achieved two top ten placements and at the end of the season, 30th place in the overall World Cup. Her best results at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang were seventh place in the sprint and sixth place together with Alenka Čebašek in the team sprint.

In the 2018/19 season Lampič took 40th place in the Lillehammer Triple, 22nd place in the Tour de Ski 2018/19 and 22nd place in the World Cup finals in Québec , making it 25th in the overall World Cup and 17th place Rank in the Sprint World Cup. At the season highlight, the Nordic World Ski Championships 2019 in Seefeld in Tyrol , she won the silver medal together with Katja Višnar in the team sprint. In addition, she ran there on the 20th place over 10 km classic, on the 17th place in the sprint and on the ninth place with the relay. After finishing 21st in the Ruka Triple at the beginning of the 2019/20 season, she finished 19th in the Tour de Ski 2019/20 and won two sprint races. This was followed by second places in sprint races in Dresden and Oberstdorf and, at the end of the season, 12th place in the overall World Cup and third place in the Sprint World Cup.
