Live 1986 (or Eric Clapton & Friends Live 1986 ) is a concert film by British rock musician Eric Clapton . The recordings were released on VHS in 1987, on DVD in 2003 and on CD in the UK in 2007 . The concert was recorded on July 15, 1986 at the National Exhibition Center in Birmingham .

Reception and sales

The critic Anneke Brüning found the recordings no less interesting , although the track list is shorter than for Live at Montreux in 1986 . The release peaked at # 36 on the ARIA charts in Australia and ranked # 4 on the Billboard Top 20 Music Video Cassettes in the United States. In Great Britain the DVD was placed at number 2 in the official charts . In total, the publication sold more than 212,500 times (album: 150,000; video: 62,500).
