The Just for You Japan Tour [ ʤʌst fɔː juː ʤəˈpæn tʊə ] ( English for: “Nur-für-Dich / Euch-Japan-Tournee”) was a concert tour by British rock musician Eric Clapton . The tour began on November 15, 2003 in Hiroshima and ended on December 13 of the same year in Tokyo . reception

The Just for You Japan Tour was a box-office hit for the tour organizers , as all available concert tickets were completely sold out; similar to the Clapton-Harrison tour in 1991. The concert reports from the audience were also extremely positive. The visitors, some of whom were Clapton fans for a long time, described Clapton's appearances as “passionate”, “original” and particularly praised the variety in the setlist. Especially the version of the title Layla Clapton played with "enormous fire" on his guitar. Although Clapton had caught a cold in the meantime, he "sang incredibly well". As the reviews showed, 30 percent of the concert-goers came from all over the world.

Memorabilia

During the performances took Clapton picks from turtle shells to strike the guitar strings , as special engraving "Back in Japan 2003" (for English: "Back in Japan 2003") contributed. Spectators could unofficially remove these from the stage (floor, microphone stand). In addition, concert goers were able to purchase a tote bag made of leather and functional material with the official “EC” logo and the inscription “Eric Clapton Japan Tour 2003”. An official tour program with pictures, notes and information about the concerts was also available for purchase. A baseball cap in beige color with black "EC" logo, as it is also found on the handbag as well as a figure of the 1992 Eric Clapton (similar Unplugged -Titelfoto) also were available.
