The 2004 Eric Clapton World Tour [ ˈɛrɪk klæptɒn wɜːld tʊə ] was a year-long concert tour by British rock musician Eric Clapton . The tour began on March 24, 2004 in Barcelona and ended on August 2 of the same year in Los Angeles . During the tour, Clapton traveled extensively across the continents of Europe and North America and performed 64 times on the tour (29 Europe; 35 North America). Overall, Clapton played before 750,000 spectators and took more than 54 million US dollars a. With revenues of $ 35,487,281 in North America alone, the tour became the 14th most successful in 2004.

During the tour, Clapton wore a mix of hit songs like Let It Rain , I Shot the Sheriff , Badge , Wonderful Tonight , Layla , Cocaine or Sunshine of Your Love and blues titles like Hoochie Coochie Man , If I Had Possession Over Judgment Day and have You Ever Loved a Woman ago, also equally from the studio records and documentation Me and Mr. Johnson and Sessions for Robert J are represented.

Tour events

Clapton began the tour in Spain at the end of March , where he played to a sold out house at Palau Sant Jordi. In the following four days, the British world star performed in France and Switzerland . From March 30th to April 3rd, Clapton played four sold out concerts in Germany . After a short break, Clapton traveled back to France and Germany before performing in Belgium on April 9th. Two consecutive concerts in the Netherlands followed before Clapton played his last two concerts in Germany. On April 17th, Clapton landed a highlight of the entire tour with a sold out concert in the Danish Parken Stadium, where the Briton appeared in front of over 38,000 people. From mid-April to mid-May, Clapton played sold-out concerts in Ireland and Great Britain.

After a few weeks of rest and preparation for his North American concerts, Clapton began the second leg of his tour with the Crossroads Guitar Festival 2004 , which he held in Dallas, Texas in early June . From early June to early July, Clapton and his band toured the United States extensively . On July 7th, Clapton interrupted his USA concerts with a performance at the Air Canada Center in Toronto, Canada . On July 4, 2004, Clapton celebrated Independence Day with his audience and ended the concert with fireworks . After more concerts in July, the 2004 Eric Clapton World Tour ended on August 2, 2004 at the Hollywood Bowl Amphitheater, Los Angeles.
