background

The album was named after Clapton's nickname, which comes from Giorgio Gomelsky . Cocaine covered Clapton for Slowhand ; However, his version only reached the charts as a single from the 1980 album Just One Night . On December 7th, 2012 a remastered deluxe edition by Slowhand was released as a double CD for the 35th anniversary . The first CD consists of the remastered album with bonus tracks and studio jam sessions. The second CD features a previously unreleased live concert from April 1977 at the Hammersmith Odeon . The concert took place a month before the slowhand recordings and therefore does not contain any tracks from the studio album.
