She's Waiting is a pop-rock song , that of Eric Clapton wrote and Peter Robinson and 1985, both as singles on Clapton's album Behind the Sun was released. The track was ranked 11th on Billboard's mainstream rock songs chart . and also appeared on the 1988 compilations Crossroads , Clapton Chronicles: The Best of Eric Clapton from 1999 and 2007 on Complete Clapton .
Content and cast
The title is about relationship problems between Clapton and Pattie Boyd . He felt during the relationship that his wife Pattie was waiting for a better man. Marcy Levy also appears on the recording . Phil Collins produced the recording. The song was part of Clapton's setlist for the Live Aid concert on July 15, 1985 in Philadelphia , along with White Room and Layla . The following musicians played on the recording: Eric Clapton (guitar and vocals), Jamie Oldaker (drums), Donald Dunn (bass), Ray Cooper (percussion), Chris Stainton (synthesizer and Hammond organ) and Peter Robinson (synthesizer).
