Live at Montreux 1986 is a concert film by British rock musician Eric Clapton . The DVD was released on September 19, 2006. The film was also released in 2014 on Blu-ray Disc . The recordings are from the Montreux Jazz Festival in July 1986.

Reception and charts

Linus Schwanke from Laut.de described the film as "a highlight of the story in every respect, at the same time a pleasure for the spoiled ears and eyes of those who experienced this time and know how fine and well-cooked blues rock can be." Olaf Oetken of the website rocktimes.de noted that the recordings were "a beautiful and valuable document of a certain and not unimportant phase in the career of an exceptional guitarist and musician" and noted that this concert was "guaranteed to be one of his more eventful ones". In Germany, the DVD reached number 99 in the charts and stayed there for a week. The film has received several musical awards and has sold more than 70,000 times worldwide.
