Stages is a compilation album by British rock musician Eric Clapton . It was released on May 27, 1993 under the labels Karussell and Spectrum Records. The album features tracks from Clapton's early solo career and his time with Bluesbreakers , Cream , Blind Faith and Derek and the Dominos .

Reception and sales

Critic Stephen Thomas Erlewine of the music website Allmusic thinks the song selection is okay, but describes the album as "not a good choice for casual fans who want to learn a little more". In summary, he noted about the compilation that it was "mishmash", but not bad. Overall, he assigned two and a half of five possible evaluation units for stages . In the UK, the album was awarded a Silver Record and sold more than 60,000 copies.
