Allmusic critic Stephen Thomas Erlewine noted that the album was "interesting for hard-core Clapton fans, but can be safely ignored for other listeners." The album reached number 115 on the UK UK Top 40 album charts. In the United States, the inclusion was ranked 137 on Billboard 200 .
