Miss You is a pop rock song written by Eric Clapton , Greg Phillinganes and Bobby Columby and made famous by Eric Clapton. It was released on November 24, 1986 both on his studio album August and decoupled as a single.

Phil Collins is the producer of the recording . Other participating musicians include Clapton and Collins as guitarist, singer and drummer, Phillinganes on keyboard, Nathan East as bassist, Jon Faddis and Randy Brecker on trumpet, and Michael Brecker on saxophone and Dave Bargeron on trombone. The song is in the starting key of E minor.

Critic William Ruhlmann of the music website Allmusic found that Clapton sings and plays guitar on the track "passionately" ("fiercely"). The single was ranked 9th on Billboard's mainstream rock songs chart in 1987 .

Live interpretations can be found on the concert films Live 1986 from 1987 and Live at Montreux 1986 from 2006. The title also appeared on the compilation albums Crossroads from 1988 and Complete Clapton from 2007.
