Life
As the son of the blues rock musician Doyle Bramhall , he came into contact with music at an early age. At the age of 16 he toured with the band The Fabulous Thunderbirds . This was the backing band of Kim Wilson. The guitarist of this band was Jimmy Vaughan, who had worked several times with Bramhall's father. Both musicians were already known under the name Double Trouble as the backing band of Stevie Ray Vaughan . After Bramhall had released his first solo album in the mid-1990s, he got offers for tours and recordings from prominent rock musicians such as Roger Waters and Eric Clapton . In 2001 his third solo album appeared, which he released together with his band Smokestack and in which Craig Ross was also involved. Since then he has been involved in many productions by prominent musicians and is active in Eric Clapton's backing band.
Bramhall was married to the singer Susannah Melvoin since August 16, 1997 . The couple had a daughter on April 21, 2001. After the breakup, Bramhall had a relationship with singer Sheryl Crow in 2011 , but they broke up after a few months. He has been in a relationship with actress Renée Zellweger since winter 2012 .
