Anastassija Alexandrovna Abrosimova ( Russian Анастасия Александровна Абросимова , also transcribed Anastasia Abrosimova ; born July 17, 1990 in Divnogorsk , Krasnoyarsk Region , Soviet Union ) is a Russian triathlete . She is aquathlon world champion (2015) and triathlon state champion (2016).

Career

Aquathlon World Champion 2015

In September 2015 Anastassija Abrossimowa became aquathlon world champion (2.5 km run, 1 km swim and 2.5 km run).

2016 Summer Olympics

At the Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro in August 2016, she finished 32nd as the third-best Russian woman in triathlon. A week later she became the triathlon national champion and in September the then 26-year-old became vice world champion in aquathlon in Mexico. In the 2016 ITU World Championship series , she finished 17th as the best Russian woman.

Abrossimowa was nominated as ETU Athlete of the Year 2017 .

In July 2018 she finished seventh in Estonia at the European Championships on the triathlon sprint distance.

Anastassija Abrosimowa is a member of the national team and lives in Moscow .
