André Jean René Lacrampe IdP (born December 17, 1941 in Agos-Vidalos , Hautes-Pyrénées , France ; † May 15, 2015 in Lourdes ) was a Roman Catholic clergyman and Archbishop of Besançon .

Life

André Lacrampe joined the secular institute Istituto del Prado and was ordained a priest on December 31, 1967 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him titular bishop of Legia and auxiliary bishop in Reims on July 13, 1983 . The bishop of Tarbes and Lourdes , Henri Donze , gave him episcopal consecration on October 16 of the same year; Co- consecrators were Jacques Ménager , Archbishop of Reims, and Georges Béjot , Auxiliary Bishop Emeritus in Reims. As a motto he chose Servir en ta présence .

On October 1, 1988, he was appointed prelate of the Mission de France o Pontigny . On January 5, 1995, Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Ajaccio and on August 13, 2003, Archbishop of Besançon.

On April 25, 2013, Pope Francis accepted his resignation due to health reasons.
