Andrés Manuel Díaz
Andrés Manuel Díaz Díaz (born July 12, 1969 in A Coruña ) is a former Spanish middle-distance runner .
In 1995 he retired from the World Athletics Championships in Gothenburg in 1995 over 800 m in the heat and won silver at the Universiade over the same distance. At the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, he again failed in the preliminary run.
At the European Athletics Indoor Championships in 1998 in Valencia, he was fourth over 1500 m . Over the same distance he won bronze at the 1999 World Indoor Athletics Championships in Maebashi, fifth at the 1999 World Championships in Seville and seventh at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney.
In the open air he was the Spanish champion over 1500 m in 1999, in the hall in 1992 and 1997 over 800 m and 2000 over 3000 m .
Andrés Manuel Díaz is 1.87 m tall and weighed 71 kg at competition times.
