Andreas Henne (born January 22, 1966 in Recklinghausen ) is a German brigadier general in the Army and has been General for Local Tasks in Berlin in the Territorial Tasks Command of the Bundeswehr since January 2017 .

Military career

Training and first uses

In 1986, Henne entered the service of the Bundeswehr as an officer candidate at Panzerbataillon 44 in Göttingen . During his officer training he was a platoon leader with the 2./Panzerbataillon 104 in Pfreimd before he was transferred to the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Munich in 1989 to study political and social sciences . He graduated in 1992 with a degree in political science .

Then Henne was platoon leader in the 3rd / and later company commander in the 6th / Panzer Battalion 64 (Unteroffizierlehrkompanie) in Wolfhagen before he became lecture director at the armored troop school in Munster in 1998 .

General staff training and service as a staff officer

From 1999 to 2001, Henne completed the 42nd Army General Staff course at the command and control academy of the Bundeswehr in Hamburg. After this course he became G3 - Operation / Planning / Exercise with the 1st Panzer Division in Hanover until 2003 . During that time he also served as Director of Staff Operations at the KFOR Multinational Brigade South Headquarters in Prizren , Kosovo . From 2003 to 2006, Henne served at the Federal Ministry of Defense in Bonn and Berlin, first as a consultant and then as a liaison officer for the Inspector of the Army in the command staff of the Army before he was seconded to the CDU / CSU parliamentary group for 10 years as a consultant in the defense working group .

General uses

In January 2017, Henne finally succeeded Michael Matz as General for Local Tasks in Berlin at the Territorial Tasks Command of the Federal Armed Forces in the Julius Leber Barracks .
