Andreas Schweiger (cook)

Andreas Schweiger (born March 5, 1976 in Karlsruhe ) is a German chef and television chef . He became known to the general public primarily as the protagonist of the documentary soap Die Kochprofis - Use at the stove on RTL II .

Life

Andi Schweiger began an apprenticeship as a chef at the Fallert restaurant in Sasbachwalden in the Black Forest in 1993 at the age of 17 . After his apprenticeship at Vincent Klink's Restaurant Wielandshöhe in Stuttgart , the London Hotel Dorchester and the Hotel Krone in Herxheim, his path finally led to Munich , where he worked at the Mandarin Oriental under Holger Stromberg . In 2003, Schweiger became head chef for the first time at the Cocoon restaurant in Munich, and in 2005 at G-Munich , again under Holger Stromberg.

In 2006, he went to the restaurant Schweiger² independently in Munich, which he ran with his wife Franziska ( "Franzi") Schweiger, a pastry chef. At the end of 2016 he handed over his restaurant to his head chef Dominik Käppeler .

Andi Schweiger has been part of the cooking team for the docu-soap Die Kochprofis - Einsatz at the stove since 2009 . He is a member of the young and wild cooks ' association .
