Andreas Silberbauer (born March 17, 1992 ) is an Austrian triathlete . He is State Champion Duathlon (2018), reigning State Champion Cross-Triathlon (2019) and Vice-European Champion Cross Duathlon (2019).

Career

Andreas Silberbauer grew up as the youngest of four children and started running regularly when he was 12. From 2006 to 2011 he attended the HTL Krems . In 2010 he was Austrian champion half marathon in the U23 class.

In Deutschlandsberg, he became Vice State Champion Duathlon in 2015.

In May 2017 he became Vice State Champion in the middle distance at the Linz Triathlon and the following year he was Vice State Champion again in the Trumer Triathlon .

At the ITU World Championship Cross Triathlon, the 27-year-old finished 14th in April 2019. Andreas Silberbauer became state champion cross triathlon (1 km swim, 24 km mountain bike and 9 km run) in May 2019 as part of the X-Triathlon and in July he became Vice-European Champion Cross Duathlon.

Andreas Silberbauer starts in the ÖTRV cross-triathlon national team . He lives with his partner, the triathlete Susanne Aumair in Grieskirchen .
