Andrej Sjarhejewitsch Skabejka ( Belarusian А́ндрэй Сярге́евіч Скабе́йка , English transcription Andrei Skabeika; born June 11, 1995 in Masty ) is a Belarusian high jumper .

Athletic career

Andrej Skabejka gained his first international experience at the Junior European Championships 2013 in Rieti , where he won the silver medal with a skipped 2.18 m. The following year he made it to the final at the Junior World Championships in Eugene , where he finished eleventh with 2.10 m. In 2015 he retired at the U23 European Championships in Tallinn with 2.15 m in qualification and two years later he was seventh at the U23 European Championships in Bydgoszcz with a height of 2.19 m. In 2018 he qualified for the European Championships in Berlin , but did not reach the final with 2.11 m, as was the case at the European Indoor Championships the following year in Glasgow with 2.21 m. At the European Games in his native Minsk , he finished 13th with 2.12 m and was then eighth at the Summer Universiade in Naples with 2.18 m.
