Andrew Clark (born April 8, 1988 in Brandon , Manitoba ) is a Canadian ice hockey player who has been under contract with SC Langenthal in the Swiss League since July 2019 .
Career
At the beginning of his career, Clark ran on in the Western Hockey League for the Brandon Wheat Kings , where he spent a total of four years. In the third season he wore the assistant captain's A on his chest. In 254 games for the Wheat Kings , he posted 93 goals and 123 assists.
After the end of his junior years, he moved to Acadia University in the Canadian Interuniversity Sport , the Canadian university gaming company. There he again spent four years and scored 56 goals and 75 assists in 111 games.
For the end of the regular season and the upcoming playoffs, the Stockton Thunder from the ECHL signed the young Canadian. After successful playoff Clark signed another year in Stockton, before moving to the middle of the next season in the American Hockey League with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers - the farm team of the New York Islanders on loan -.
In the summer of 2014, Clark moved to Europe for Esbjerg Energy from Denmark for the first time . There he delivered a strong season with 75 points (25 goals, 50 assists) in 36 games. In the playoffs he had 25 points in 15 games. As a result, the Rapperswil-Jona Lakers from the National League B noticed him and signed him for the 2015/16 season . The Canadian also impressed in Switzerland's second-highest division and scored 47 points in 39 games.
Also in the next summer Clark changed the club, this time to Austria in the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga for HC Innsbruck . With the club, he has long since reached the playoffs and extended his contract for the 2017/18 season .
