Andrews is a town in Andrews County in the US state of Texas , the United States and the county seat. The city and county were named after Richard Andrews , the first soldier to die in the Texas Revolution , at the Battle of Concepción in 1835.

The city is located in the highlands in west central Texas, is about 20 km to the west from New Mexico and has an area of 12.4 km 2 .
