At the beginning of the artistic career there was a fascination with the movement of the New Wild in Germany.

In the early 1990s he worked with the Japanese artist Yoshitomo Nara with AR Penck. The exhibitions and his stay in New York in the early 1990s gave him the opportunity to explore American art more deeply, which has shaped his artistic path. During these times he invented his individual style on the border of figurative painting and new expression. His works from those times are epigrams full of grotesque humor. There comic characters, media heroes from famous cartoons and advertisements appear, in an environment of objects and keywords from urban culture. In this new-pop era, “Obrasy” (a play on words: pictures on tablecloths, exhibition in 2004, Warsaw - National Gallery Kordegarda) - the artist places his figures on industrially colored tablecloths and thereby creates a form of form recycling.

In the years that followed, monochromatic images were created, often based on old photos.
