Angelika Kühhorn (born July 8, 1986 in Bayreuth ) is a former German ski jumper .

Career

Kühhorn, who started for SC Bischofsgrün , came second at the German Championships in 2001 , winning silver behind Ann-Kathrin Reger . She made her international debut in January 2003 at the FIS jumping competition in Villach . Already in the first two competitions she showed good performances as 11th and 12th. A short time later, she also impressed in the junior jumping competition in Planica as fifth. Shortly thereafter, she was third at the German Women's Ski Jumping Championships in Pöhla in 2003 and won bronze behind Ulrike Gräßler and Kristin Schmidt .

At the FIS Ladies Grand Prix 2003 Kühhorn started in Saalfelden am Steinernen Meer , in Baiersbronn and in Schönwald in the Black Forest and reached the points in all three competitions. The best place was a 20th place in Baiersbronn. Also in summer 2003 she convinced with the places 10 in Bischofshofen and 13 in Meinerzhagen .

At the FIS Ladies Grand Prix 2004 Kühhorn was able to show increasing performances again. Although she was unable to build on the previous year in summer 2004, the now 18-year-old was part of the German squad for the newly created women's ski jumping Continental Cup from the 2004/05 season . Although she won points in the four jumping competitions in which she competed and achieved 47th place in the overall standings with a total of 11 points, Kühhorn ended her active ski jumping career after the season because she was part of the German team for the following season due to the high level of performance his top jumpers Juliane Seyfarth , Jenna Mohr and Melanie Faißt did not see a chance to place themselves in the top of the world in the long run.

After the end of her career, Kühhorn completed an apprenticeship as a hotel manager at the Parkhotel Frank in Oberstdorf .
