Jenna Mohr (born April 15, 1987 in Korbach ) is a former German ski jumper .

Career

Mohr starts for SC Willingen and comes from the Willingen district of Usseln . Even before the Continental Cup was introduced for women in the 2004/05 season , it competed in international competitions. At the German Championships in 2004 in Meinerzhagen , she won the silver medal. In the 2004/05 season, the COC started regularly. Her best results were two 14th places in Oberaudorf and Baiersbronn . At the German Championships in 2005 in Meinerzhagen, Mohr won the silver medal again. In the 2005/06 season she achieved similar placements. The outlier to the top was a third place in Ljubno . The 2006/07 season was disappointing for them . Here she was only sporadically nominated for competitions. Except for a 14th place in Saalfelden , their performances were significantly weaker than in the two previous years.

The 2007/08 season was the big moment. She celebrated her first Continental Cup victory on August 12, 2007 at the 1st Women's Four Hills Tournament in Bischofsgrün , and three days later she was third in Pöhla . In winter she almost always made it into the top 20, but she was no longer able to place on the podium. In the overall ranking, she finished fifth with 590 points. The 2008/09 season should be the most successful of her career. She almost always made it into the top ten. At the German Championships in Oberhof in 2008, she won the individual silver medal and the team bronze medal. At the summer COC in Bischofshofen , she even made it onto the podium as second. At the penultimate competition of the season in Sapporo , she won her second Continental Cup. At the Nordic World Ski Championships 2009 in Liberec , however, she was only 15.

After that, however, she could no longer build on these successes. In the 2009/10 season she succeeded except an eighth place in Rovaniemi no top ten placement. At the beginning of summer 2010 she won another Continental Cup in Bischofsgrün . In addition, she took a top ten place several times in the summer. In winter , however, their performance weakened again. Her best result was a seventh place in Hinterzarten . She was not nominated for the World Cup. In the summer of 2011, her performance was the same as in the previous two years. In winter , when there was a World Cup for women in ski jumping for the first time, she was thrown out of the team after the first three competitions because her best result was only a 30th place in Hinterzarten. Her best COC season result was a 16th place in Liberec.

Since she would not have received any financial support for the next season and would have lost her squad status, she announced in May 2012 that she would end her career at the age of 25.

After completing an apprenticeship as a retail saleswoman, Mohr has been a member of the sports promotion group of the Federal Police in Bad Endorf since 2008 .
