Angelo Spina (born November 13, 1954 in Colle d'Anchise , Province of Campobasso , Italy ) is an Italian Roman Catholic clergyman and Archbishop of Ancona-Osimo since 2017 .

Life

Angelo Spina came in 1968 to the minor seminary of Molise one, moved in 1974 to the Seminary of Benevento and received on January 5 in 1980 by the Archbishop of Campobasso-Boiano , Pietro Santoro , the sacrament of Holy Orders . In the following years he worked as a high school teacher, from 1999 was pastor at the Cathedral of Bojano and in 2005 was appointed Episcopal Vicar of the Basilica Maria Santissima Addolorata in Castelpetroso .

On April 3, 2007 Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . to the bishop of Sulmona-Valva . The Archbishop of Campobasso-Boiano, Armando Dini , donated him episcopal ordination on June 9 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the bishop emeritus of Teramo-Atri , Antonio Nuzzi , and the bishop emeritus of Sulmona-Valva, Giuseppe Di Falco . The inauguration took place on June 23, 2007.

On July 14, 2017, Pope Francis appointed him Archbishop of Ancona-Osimo. The inauguration took place on October 1 of the same year. On September 18, 2019, Spina was elected Vice-President of the Regional Bishops' Conference of the Marches .
