Anita Simoncini (born April 14, 1999 in Montegiardino ) is a San Marinese singer . She represented San Marino as part of the group The Peppermints at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2014 and together with the Italian singer Michele Perniola at the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 .

Life

Anita Simoncini was born on April 14, 1999 in Montegiardino, a municipality in San Marino. She learned to sing in a choir led by Fausto Giacomini, today she has singing lessons from Linda Hermes.

In 2014 the singer took part in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Malta as part of the singing group The Peppermints for her home country . The band got 21 points for the song Breaking My Heart and reached fifteenth place. On November 27, 2014, it was announced at a press conference of the San Marino RTV TV station in San Marino that Simoncini and the Italian singer Michele Perniola , who also represented San Marino at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest , would take San Marino at the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 will be represented. Together they sang the song Chain of Light composed by Ralph Siegel . At that time they were the youngest duo to ever perform at the Eurovision Song Contest . After participating in the second semifinal, the duo could not qualify for the final.
