reception

Anja Frisch's volume of stories Schneehase is praised in terms of content in several feature sections of the print media ; she tells “refreshingly sober and with loving irony about the life of big and small people, about family and friends, about big crises and little luck. Thumbs up. ”( Nordsee-Zeitung ) and their“ stories take you into the middle of a war zone: the family. Anja Frisch conjures up really big feelings with simple sentences. ”( Cosmopolitan ).

The style of her stories in mountain hare is the tageszeitung (taz) characterizes praise: "Anja Frisch writes clearly and concisely. Her heroes look at the world cool, almost frosty, so as not to have to admit their own emotional inclination. ”The radio interview she conducted in 2006 was given a similar rating by Deutschlandfunk “ A coolness more than protection ”and judged: "The talent of Anja Frisch flashes above all in her motivational work"; criticizes, however, that her stories "every now and then [leave] the impression [...] as if the author is still afraid to really get involved with her topics".

The AVIVA - online magazine for women sees Anja Frisch's narrative volume Schneehase as “interesting short stories paired with an appealing narrative style” and praises: “The author manages to empathize with her various characters and to portray their feelings clearly, but without much of the extras”; criticizes, however, that the author "often only superficially describes the social issues that she includes in some of her stories" and that "some characters [...] appear stereotypical and mask-like". The AVIVA magazine ultimately came to a positive overall assessment: "Nevertheless, 'Schneehase' is a book that can be read in any case and that benefits from Anja Frisch's particularly refined writing style."
