The bullion coins of the Cook Islands are licensed by Cook Islands produced bullion coins made of gold , silver , platinum and palladium . The best known are the 1 troy ounce coins with the motif of the sailing ship Bounty on the number side ("Cook Islands Bounty"). On the head is the portrait of the British Queen Elizabeth II . The larger Cook Islands silver coins have variants with annually changing motifs of the Chinese zodiac .

Cook Islands Bounty Gold: The 1 troy ounce gold coins have a fine gold content of 99.99%, a face value of 100 Cook Islands dollars and a weight of 31.103 g.

Cook Islands Bounty Platinum: The 1 troy ounce platinum coins have a fine platinum content of 99.95%, a face value of 100 Cook Islands dollars and a weight of 31.103 g.

Cook Islands Bounty Palladium: The 1 troy ounce palladium coins have a fine palladium content of 99.95%, a face value of 50 Cook Islands dollars and a weight of 31.103 g.

Cook Islands Bounty Silver: The 1 troy ounce silver coins have a fine silver content of 99.99%, a face value of 1 Cook Islands dollars and a weight of 31.103 g. There are also denominations of 1/10 troy ounce, 1/4 troy ounce, 1/2 troy ounce, 20 troy ounce and 1 kg. In addition to the actual (round and flat) silver coins, there are also Cook Islands coin bars and Cook Islands coin tables , where individual coin bars weighing 1 g or 10 g can be separated from a thin, rectangular plate by bending .
