Anna Alexandrovna Netschajewskaja ( Russian Анна Александровна Нечаевская , English transcription: Anna Nechaevskaya ; born August 21, 1991 ) is a Russian cross-country skier .

Career

Netschajewskaja made her debut in the cross-country skiing Eastern Europe Cup at the beginning of the 2009/10 season . She reached 66th place over 5 km classic in Werschina Tjoi . At the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships 2011 in Otepää , she won the silver medal with the relay. She ran her first World Cup race in February 2011 in Rybinsk , which she finished in seventh place in the relay. In November 2013 she won her first victory in the Eastern Europe Cup in Werschina Tjoi over 10 km freestyle. At the beginning of the 2014/15 season, she finished 60th at the Nordic Opening in Lillehammer . She finished the Tour de Ski 2015 in 34th place. She got her first World Cup points in Val di Fiemme with 28th place in the 10 km mass start race. In February 2015 she won the Eastern Europe Cup in Rybinsk over 10 km freestyle. In the 2015/16 season, she mainly competed in FIS races . In February 2016 she came third at the Eastern Europe Cup in Syktywkar in the 10 km freestyle. The following month she became the Russian champion in the 30km mass start race. At the beginning of the 2016/17 season, she won her third victory in the Eastern Europe Cup over 5 km freestyle in Vershina Tjoi. Four more victories and four second places followed, winning the overall ranking of the Eastern Europe Cup. At the Winter Universiade 2017 in Almaty , she won the silver medal in the classic 5 km and in the 15 km mass start race and the gold medal in the relay and in the pursuit race. At the end of March 2017, she became Russian champion over 10 km freestyle in Khanty-Mansiysk . In the 2017/18 season she finished 37th in the Ruka Triple and 18th in the Tour de Ski 2017/18 . At the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang , she won the bronze medal with the relay and also finished tenth in the 10 km freestyle.

At the beginning of the 2018/19 season, Netschajewskaja won the Eastern Europe Cup over 5 km freestyle in Vershina Tjoi. She finished the 2018/19 Tour de Ski with two top ten placements in 12th place. At the season highlight, the Nordic World Ski Championships 2019 in Seefeld in Tyrol , she won the bronze medal with the relay. In addition, she ran there on the 17th place in the 30 km mass start race and on the 15th place in the skiathlon . At the end of the season, she finished 33rd in the overall World Cup and 26th in the Distance World Cup.
