Anna Malikova ( Russian Анна Михайловна Маликова ; born July 14, 1965 in Tashkent , Uzbek SSR ) is a Russian concert pianist.

Life

The Russian pianist received her first piano training from Tamara Popowitsch at the Uspensky Music School in Tashkent. At the age of 14 she came to the Central Music School in Moscow in the class of Lev Naumov . With him she also studied at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory . After completing her studies, she taught there from 1992 to 1996 as an assistant to her teacher Naumow.

Then she began her concert activities in the Soviet Union, a. a. in recitals in Moscow , Saint Petersburg , Omsk and Baku and as a soloist in symphony orchestras in Yekaterinburg , Minsk , Nizhny Novgorod , Kazan and Tashkent . After winning the ARD competition in Munich in 1993, she began her worldwide artistic career. She plays as a soloist with orchestras, as a chamber musician and in recitals; In addition, she has been teaching master classes in Armenia, China, Germany, Japan and Korea since 2001 and is a juror in piano competitions.

From 2002 to 2005 she held a substitute professorship at the Folkwang University in Essen . Malikova was a visiting professor at the Szymanowski Academy Katowice, Poland, from 2011 to 2013 . Today she lives in both Krefeld and Vienna . In October 2018 she was appointed professor at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna .
