Anna Plichta (born February 10, 1992 in Krzywaczka ) is a Polish cyclist .
Athletic career
Anna Plichta rode for TKK Pacific Toruń in 2014 and joined the BTC City Ljubljana cycling team the following year . In 2014 she took part in the UCI Road World Championship , where she did not finish the race. In the same year Plichta won the silver medal in the Polish mountain championship. Furthermore, she was able to win the junior ranking at the International Thuringia Tour of Women in 2014 , and she was tenth in the overall ranking.
Plichta took part in the UCI Road World Championship again in 2015 . There she finished 52nd in the road race . Furthermore, Plichta was able to defend her second place in the Polish mountain championship from the previous year and took third place in the overall ranking of the Tour de Feminin - O cenu Českého Švýcarska . In the International Thuringia Tour of Women , Plichta came in 33rd place. In September 2015 Plichta took part in the Lotto Belgium Tour , where she finished seventh overall.
In 2016 Anna Plichta was the Polish runner-up in road racing behind Katarzyna Niewiadoma and took part in the Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro . She finished the road race with a time of 4:01:29 h and came in 41st place overall. In the individual time trial she finished 19th. At the UCI Road World Championships in Doha , she reached seventh place in the team time trial , in the road race Plichta made it only 84th. In the overall ranking of the Tour de Feminin - O cenu Českého Švýcarska , Plichta came on second place and third in the mountain classification . At the Tour Cycliste Féminin International de l'Ardèche , she also came third in the mountain classification, and in the overall classification she was 15th.
In 2017 Plichta switched to the UCI Women's Team WM3 Pro Cycling . That year she was third in the Polish Road Racing Championships. In the 2018 season, Plichta originally wanted to switch to the Belgian cycling team Lensworld-Kuota , but this did not happen because the team disbanded after the withdrawal of the main sponsor LensOnline. Ultimately, she switched to the Boels Dolmans cycling team .
