Anna Swoboda (born October 8, 1998 in Ober-Piesting ) is an Austrian triathlete . She is junior world champion (2016) and U23 national champion winter triathlon (2018).

Career

Anna Swoboda attended the Bundesgymnasium Zehnergasse in Wiener Neustadt . She has been running triathlon since 2014 and achieved her best successes in the winter triathlon.

In February 2016 Anna Swoboda became Junior World Champion winter triathlon in Zeltweg, Austria. In May 2016 she finished fourth at the European Triathlon Championships in the age group 16-19.

At the Junior World Championship in modern pentathlon she came second in Spain in October 2017 (first race Biathle: running, swimming, running; second race Triathle: shooting, swimming, running).

In January 2018, the then 19-year-old finished fourth at her first start in the U23 class at the World Championships Winter Triathlon in Romania (7.5 km cross-country skiing, 13.25 km mountain bike and 10 km cross-country skiing). At the U23 European Winter Triathlon Championships, she was third in Italy in February. In March she became U23 national champion winter triathlon in Villach and also vice national champion cross striathlon in Innsbruck in May.

At the ITU World Cup U23 Cross Triathlon, she finished fifth in Denmark in July 2018.
