Anna von Palen (born May 26, 1875 in Perleberg , † January 27, 1939 in Berlin ) was a German actress .

Life

She made her debut in 1894 as Anna Paulsen in Gardelegen . Further stages were Bautzen , Bielefeld , Gleiwitz , Heidelberg and Riga . From 1912 she lived in Berlin. From 1924 to 1929 she made several guest appearances in South America.

Anna von Palen was also a busy actress in German silent films from 1915. In the trade the salon lady and later in maternal roles she took on significant responsibilities in Dramas . In 1920 she played Marah Durimeh in the two early Karl May films On the Rubble of Paradise and The Caravan of Death . The actress continued to stand in front of the camera until the end of her life, but in the end only in smaller roles.
