Anne Consigny (born May 25, 1963 in Alençon ; actually Marie Consigny ) is a French actress .

life and career

Anne Consigny, whose father was cabinet director of the French Prime Minister Maurice Couve de Murville in the late 1960s , began her acting career in 1980 in Paris under the direction of Peter Brook in a production of Chekhov's play The Cherry Orchard at the Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord, which was also recorded for television . From 1982 to 1984 she played at the Comédie-Française .

Her film debut was marked in 1981 by the Japanese film Yume, yume no ato (Rêves après rêves) directed by the fashion designer Kenzō Takada , in which she was seen with Anicée Alvina . She had her first important role in 1985 in a Portuguese film adaptation of Paul Claudel's drama The Silky Shoe as Maria Siebenschwert , directed by Manoel de Oliveira .

In 2009 Consigny starred in Alain Resnais ' film Caution Sehnsucht at the side of André Dussollier and Sabine Azéma . Again she had a leading role in the modern relationship epic E-Love , where, as an "almost 50-year-old" (that's how she calls herself in the film) looking for a new "man for life" at first rather reluctantly, then but always “working off” Internet acquaintances who are keen to experiment.
