Anne Lünenbürger

Anne Lünenbürger (* 1964 in Landau in the Palatinate ) is a German opera singer specializing in soprano and Bavarian chamber singer .

Life and artistic work

Training and Awards

Anne Lünenbürger was born in Landau in the Palatinate . Her musical career began in the Landau deanery youth choir. As a teenager she was active in the folk band "Saatkorn". She studied singing at the Karlsruhe Music Academy with Erika Markgraf and Christiane Hampe. She attended master classes with Elisabeth Schwarzkopf , Hilde Zadek and Anna Reynolds . In 1990 she completed her studies with the state diploma for singing education.

Lünenbürger won several singing competitions, including the German Music Competition in June 1992 and the VDMK state competition for the states of Rhineland / Palatinate, Hesse and Saarland in October 1992. In 1993 she won the special prize for singing at the Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy Competition in Berlin.

Opera and operetta

Anne Lünenbürger had her first engagement in 1993 at the German-Sorbian People's Theater in Bautzen , where she a. a. already sang roles such as Violetta, Konstanze in Die Entführung aus dem Serail and Donna Anna in Don Giovanni .

From February 1995 to August 2008, Anne Lünenbürger was a permanent member of the ensemble at the State Theater in Nuremberg . During her permanent engagement in Nuremberg, she sang a wide range of repertoire, from the lyrical coloratura soprano to the youthful-dramatic soprano subject. Her most successful role was Violetta Valery in La Traviata , which she sang in over 70 performances in 8 seasons since the premiere in 2001. Lünenbürger's last role in Nuremberg was Tatjana in Eugen Onegin in July 2008 .

Anne Lünenbürger has been working as a freelancer since September 2008. With the title role in Salome by Richard Strauss at the theater in Aachen , she expanded her subject to become a dramatic soprano in October 2008. Her interpretation was enthusiastically celebrated by the press and the public and also received great national attention.

In December 2008 and March 2009 Anne Lünenbürger sang Lisa in the operetta The Land of Smiles by Franz Lehár at the Munster Municipal Theater . In February 2011 she sang the role of Micaëla in the opera Carmen in the Nuremberg Meistersingerhalle in a staged concert production by the theater Die Bühne . In June 2013 she appeared in the St. Klara Church in Nuremberg as a soloist in an operetta concert by the Theater Die Bühne with the title “Operetta in the Church”.

Activity as a concert singer

In addition to her work as an opera singer, Anne Lünenbürger is also a national concert singer. Her concert repertoire ranges from the classical to the romantic and also includes the modern. In Frankfurt she sang 1998, the soprano part in Requiem by Giuseppe Verdi . In 2009 she sang the Christmas carols op. 8 by Peter Cornelius in Fürth . Since 2011 she has appeared regularly as a soloist in concerts by the Fürth Chamber Orchestra. In February 2014 she was a soloist at an operetta concert by the Fürth Chamber Orchestra in Schwaig near Nuremberg .

In November 2014 Lünenbürger performed in her hometown Landau in a concert and piano evening with romantic songs and piano pieces by Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy , Robert Schumann and Edvard Grieg . In June 2016 Lünenbürger made a guest appearance in Landau with the program “Yes, that's only how you sing in Vienna ...”. In October 2017 Lünenbürger gave a concert entitled "Hungarian Dreams" in the Neumarkter Reitstadel.

Guest performances

Anne Lünenbürger had guest engagements at the Komische Oper Berlin , at the State Theater on Gärtnerplatz in Munich and at the Dortmund Opera House , as well as to Prague and the Vienna Volksoper . In 2010 she sang the title role in the opera Tosca at the Heidenheim Opera Festival . In a guest performance at the State Theater in Nuremberg in 2005 she appeared as Freia and as Helmwige in Richard Wagner's Der Ring des Nibelungen in the People's Republic of China .

In recognition of her artistic merits, Anne Lünenbürger was appointed Bavarian Chamber Singer in 2008.

Teaching

Lünenbürger works as a lecturer for singing at the Mainz University of Music . She leads courses in singing and voice training and passes on her knowledge to children and young people.
